Thanks for that. I'm still waiting to hear Jim's review of "Merciless Night II" and particularly "More Nocturnal Pleasures". I imagine "Faster" being a "Rhinegold" song. It doesn't fit anywhere in the show but the imagery I have, on the vocal wail, is the climax of the show with the Rhinemaidens sinking into the river as they've lost the ring forever. They wail because it's gone.. and it's the sign of the twilight of the gods that awaits us at the climax of the cycle. | |
