> Right listen to ME now you insane witch. Your begining to > piss me of. Right off. RHPS is a random musical in which > the the woman in it has laods of sex There is no actual depiction of a sex act in the film, There are two sequences which suggest sex in a way that is part of the story and not as sex itself. The first is in the bedroom chamber where Franknfurter approaches Janet pretending to be Brad and approaches Brad pretending to be Janet. The use of the sexual context is to exhibit the vulnerability and the extremism of the impersonation's deception, as well as the temptations existing to believe, then the anger of the revelation. Then as strangers in a strange context (las vegas, what happens here stays here...tourist slogan)there is the act of submission that somehow seems okay in a moment of disproportion. The second is the sequence when Janet is frightened, scared, guilty, and remorseful, alone in the laboratory, when she encounters the helpless and more frightened creature crying. In a state of despair she escapes from her worries in a temptation of lust for this creature created for lust and left alone, seeming as human as she, and in the whole of it she over-reacts, to a point of delirium, hence the sequence of all the figures coming at her one by one after the other in the "creature of the night" sequence. The nightmare turned dream, the dream turned reality, the reality turned to nightmare again. She is again, not thinking of the consequences of her actions, until in the renewed reality, the pair is caught by Franknfurter. Then she is chased around by Franknfurter, angry at her for her violation of his property. You better wise up Janet Weiss. There is no other sexual suggestions in the story but there are erotic references. Nothing like Surf's Up, though. > it has no real plot. The plot is being hidden by the culture. There is a plot. > Everyone whos seen it says so. This is the culture. You can't see a plot if you are looking for the rice beads stuck in your hair. | |
