| might be, but i think it was rather coincidence that she was chosen to be on bat3. Her later fame, even if it was predictable, couldnt have been something Meat & Des could count on. If so, and they chose her because he was becoming a big star, then they would have made much more of that oportunity. (Future as first demo, shitloads of interviews, tv appearances with her instead of marion, etc) instead of just one little crappy youtube video, not even with the actual vocals. If they had chosen it as first single, they could have gained a lot more public interest, shes much more of a name then some 22 year old norwegian girl who used to be in a girlgroup ages ago. It might have gotten the Jennifer Hudson fans to buy the album as well. And the Loaf wouldnt have had to tell that stupid "IACBTMN was written for me" story a thousand times. > Jennifer Hudson started getting alot of buzz back in March > 2006 when she won her first award at ShoWest(long before > Dreamgirls was even in theaters) and lots of other awards > in 06. She was mentioned to win the Academy Award long > before she did. > > I wasn't actually referring to Patti's piano demo version > of "The Future". I was referring to all the internet > reports where the tracklisting of Bat III always listed > "The Future" as duet between Meat and Patti before it was > released. | |
