No reason other than he can't sing anymore. If Jim was honest I think he'd admit Bat 3 was painful to liten to... and Meat singing Jim's song on the tour leading up to Bat 3 was even worse. Meat sings ALMOST as badly as me! But Jim I'm sure would put Meat on a concept album for the publicity it would garner. I'm guessing by this comment that this is the only connection Meat is likely to have with the musical.

I would totally disagree that any publicty the musical can get is good. Mikey Boy disproved that theory! Connecting this musical with Meat cements the idea that it is another We Will Rock You... and Jim has stated that it is not. Selling a movie or play or book to the wrong audience does nothing but offer short term gain.

They tried to trick people into seeing Sweeney Todd by releasing trailers for the film that had No singing in them. People went to it and saw a musical and walked out angry. Bad word of mouth and the film barely made back it's $50 mil budget.
