So, with the few recent threads mooting the course 'Bat3' took, it's got me thinking.
There are 7 Steinman Tunes on TMiL. And almost all of them ought to be significantly longer / more fleshed out than they appear there. That is enough for an album surely — over half of which would be 'new' (assuming Break It and Seize the Night can be considered new… which they probably would be).
So… entirely unfounded speculation, but is it POSSIBLE that the notion of not every song being written by Jim was introduced to the project with Desmond (who also happens to be a songwriter), instead of there being a pre-existing need for more songs that Desmond satisfied??
