| WHAT THE FLIPPING HELL. not too thrilled how you put meat down like that. I think most can agree with me that Meat has NOT been impersonating Jim practically his whole career. In fact its his own way of singing. Before he even met Jim he was singing like he did on Bat. If anything Meat has small bit of Elvis in his singing. which is fine by me, I love hearing the Elvis voice every once in a while. meat sounded nothing like he was impersonating Jim.ever. In fact you could argue Jim was trying to do an impression of meat on BFG. I realize you are a big fan of Jim's singing, but thats crossing a line. Meat is leaps and bounds more passionate in his voice then jim, and the demos, while fantastic and interesting to hear, cant hold a candle to the meat loaf counterparts. Only thing I remotely agree with is he should've written more stuff. Jim's the body, but Meat's the soul. Without Meat, Jim's songs lack soul IMO. Nothing personal, just disagree almost entirely with this statement. > are only further proof that he was branded with an unfair > stigma that he couldn't sing. Why? Someone please, tell me > why is it Jim's singing voice is so looked down on, > especially by Loaf fan boys, which only makes me chuckle > since Meat's been doing an impression of Jim's singing > style piratically his whole career. Jim's vocal on Heaven > Can Wait is amazing, the "la la la's" at the end had me in > tears almost. The intro to the 89 version Who Needs the > Young, incredible. Jim should have stuck at it in my > opinion, gone solo. Not to say he shouldn't have written > stuff for Meat or Bonnie, but also recorded more of his > own stuff himself. The magic we could have had. | |
