| It's just hit me that I wish Bad For Good was on Bat 2. My reasons for thinking this are two fold: 1. it sounds ACE on the Lost Boys and Golden Girls tour (as does the song Lost Boys itself). 2. But more importantly, the bat 2 version of Frying Pan makes the original look and sound PUNY in comparison. And I really like the original, I think it's great. But the Bat 2 version makes it sound wimpy. Imagine if Jim could have done the same thing with BfG!! It would be the most unbelievale thing to hear! Personally I think Jim and Rinkoff should DEFINITELY re-record the song with somebody. The Dream Engine. Or someone affiliated to it. Meat seems completely unwilling to commit to singing well in the studio, instead opting to make demands of being able to work with vocal producers that don't push him as hard and produce a sub-standard result. So I think the opportunity for Jim to work with Meat on something new in the studio is well and truly passed, as much as it pains me to admit it. I have found his live recordings unlistenable for many years now, but it's sad to lose his studio finesse as well. And LASTLY (as an added bonus), if BfG HAD been recorded for Bat 2, Desmond would never have had the chance to fuck it up!! :o) | |
